Our recent company event, held at The Park Silang from April 5 to 7, was a landmark gathering that blended professional development and team spirit. The event commenced with a Town Hall on April 5, where the theme "Breaking Barriers with Vasquez: A Blueprint for Excellence" set the stage for transformative discussions. Our esteemed speakers, including associate managers, managers, directors, and partners, delivered inspiring talks on overcoming organizational challenges to achieve collective success. They presented solutions set to be rolled out across the organization, marking a new chapter of growth and collaboration.
A significant highlight of the Town Hall was the recognition of our loyalty awardees, Caitlin and Lorielyn, who celebrated their 5th year with the firm. Both joined Vasquez Advantage as Senior Associates in Audit and have since advanced to Manager positions, exemplifying their dedication and growth within the company.
Testimonies from Emart, Kim, Nice, and Mark Lloyd enriched the event with personal stories of growth and achievement within the company.
The excitement continued April 6 and 7 with our first-ever firmwide face-to-face team- building event. Employees from the Audit, Accounting, Tax, and HR/Admin departments were grouped into five mixed teams, engaging in a variety of physical and mental challenges. These activities, designed to be both fun and demanding, took place on land and water, encouraging teamwork and innovation.
The evening's "Sundown Tropics" socials night further enhanced the experience, as participants showcased their summer spirit with bright and colorful attire.
The event concluded with the announcement of "Cris-team" as the team-building champions. Their victory underscored the power of collaboration and the importance of breaking down silos within the organization. This event was a significant step towards building a more cohesive and successful future for our organization.
Government Audit and Audit Sampling Training 2024

Vasquez Advantage conducted a specialized training event for its Audit Group, underscoring the firm's commitment to enhancing its audit capabilities. The two-day training, held at the Ascott Hotel Makati from August 15-16, 2024, featured sessions on Government Audit Training and Audit Sampling, ensuring attendees stayed abreast of the latest auditing requirements and best practices.
The Government Audit Training, led by a team of experienced facilitators, including Paul, Jess, Ecka, Jim, Ian, Cristy, and Rhoda, provided attendees with the in-depth knowledge necessary to effectively handle government industry audits.
The afternoon of the second day was dedicated to an interactive Audit Sampling Refresher Training. James joined virtually via MS Teams, while Tommy and Kyle led the on-site session, ensuring all participants could engage fully. This refresher course reinforced the team's understanding of audit sampling, a critical component of effective auditing practices.
The event concluded with a celebratory ceremony, acknowledging promotions across various departments. By investing in targeted training and recognizing employee achievements, Vasquez Advantage reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional audit services and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

On April 24, 2024, Vasquez Advantage demonstrated its dedication to leadership excellence by hosting a comprehensive Leadership Training event at KMC Salcedo Makati. This exclusive event was attended by Associate Managers and above all eager to enhance their leadership capabilities.
The day-long event began with setting a collaborative and forward-thinking tone. Participants then delved into role-playing activities that challenged them to communicate effectively in difficult situations, adapt various leadership styles, and handle difficult people and situations with confidence. These scenarios were carefully crafted to reflect real-life challenges, providing invaluable hands-on experience.
Attendees left with practical tools and insights, better equipped to guide their teams and drive the company’s success in an ever-evolving business landscape.
EBP Training 2024

Vasquez Advantage held its annual Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audit training as part of our industry training series, aimed at specialized industries. The event took place on April 22 and 23, 2024, at the Ascott Hotel in Makati, and was attended by our dedicated Audit Team.
The training was designed to refresh EBP audit knowledge and ensure that our team is up-to-date with the latest standards and releases.
Leading the sessions were our esteemed partners, Tonette Santillan and Cristy Canieda, alongside audit director Venus Sarmiento. We were also joined by Vasquez + Company, LLP’s director and manager, Marialyn Labastilla, and Erica Ong.
